Kim Kardashian Showed Up to Court Dripping in Diamonds

God forbid I ever have my day in court—I only hope to show up as iced out as Kim Kardashian did today. The star was at the Palais de Justice in Paris this morning to testify about the 2016 armed robbery in which $9 million of jewelry was stolen from her hotel room. The trial is ongoing, so I can’t say whether justice will be served, but an iconic look certainly was. I’ve been dazzled by her earrings all day.

Decked out in all black and accompanied by mom Kris Jenner, Kardashian wore a John Galliano dress with dramatic shoulders and Alaïa sunglasses, but it was the jewelry that really stole the show. (Is it in poor taste to mention stealing?)

She wore a gleaming necklace by Samer Halimeh—valued at a cool $3 million with a total of 52.17 carats—and earrings from Repossi and Brioni Raymond, all of which were polished to perfection. In fact, the bling was so substantial that it made the court sketch; that’s when you know it’s serious. My personal favorite was the pavé ear cuff, which I’ve included some more affordable options for below, just in case you don’t have $8K to drop.

To be clear, the trial is no light matter. Kardashian was attending Paris Fashion Week and staying at Hôtel de Pourtalès when the incident occurred in October 2016. She was tied up in her suite and held at gunpoint, and she has been vocal about the trauma it caused. Horrific, no doubt. But it was an absolute power move to show up today dripping in diamonds, and for that, I just have to make some noise.
