Automotive giant defeated by hackers. Factory closures extended.

British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover said in a statement that the production disruption caused by the hacker attack will be extended and will last until October 1.
In early September, unknown perpetrators hacked into the company's database and downloaded files containing detailed personal data of customers, including their addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, and bank account numbers.
This applied to people buying new cars in showrooms, but also to those undergoing warranty inspections and repairs at service stations.
Invoices, orders, and settlements between the company and its suppliers also fell victim to the criminals . A few days later, another cyberattack occurred.
Representatives of the company are cooperating with experts from the British National Cyber Security Centre in explaining this incident and are not providing any additional explanations on this matter.
It is not known whether the hackers' activities concerned only the company's headquarters or also the Engine Production Centre in Wolverhampton, the factory in Nitra in Slovakia and the Magna-Steyr plant in Graz, Austria, where Jaguar E-Pace models are produced.
