The call for proposals for the 2025 edition of the Clean Energy Transition (CETP) European Partnership, which is co-financed for transnational research and innovation projects, is now available. The submission of pre-proposals is open until 9 October 2025, at 1:00 p.m. (Lisbon time).
The competition will support research and/or innovation projects, promoted by transnational consortia, around the seven CETP Transition Initiatives (TRIs): TRI1 – Integrated Net-zero-emissions Energy System ; TRI2 – Enhanced zero emission Power Technologies ; TRI 3 – Enabling Climate Neutrality with Storage Technologies, Renewable Fuels and CCU/CCS ; TRI4 – Efficient zero emission Heating and Cooling Solutions ; TRI5 – Integrated Regional Energy Systems ; TRI6 – Integrated Industrial Energy Systems ; and TRI7 – Integration in the Built Environment.
An online information session will be held on May 28th , which will cover the essential elements of this competition, such as the topics to be supported by the various funding organizations, the main dates, documents, among others.
Created under the auspices of Horizon Europe, CETP aims to accelerate the transition to clean energy and contribute to the objective of climate neutrality by 2050, by bringing together national and regional funding in Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RDI), for a wide variety of technologies and system solutions needed for this transition.
The Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) is the funding organisation for this competition. For more information about the 2025 CETP competition, please see the dedicated page on the FCT website and the competition page on the CETP website .
