Club World Cup will feature Palmeiras vs Botafogo in the round of 16; check out the games, dates and times

The third and final round of the FIFA Club World Cup group stage began on Monday, with the final matches of Groups A and B, and marked the confirmation of four qualifiers, in addition to the definition of two duels in the round of 16. The results will pit Palmeiras against Botafogo , in the first Brazilian clash of the competition, and Paris Saint-Germain against Inter Miami .
Abel Ferreira 's Palmeiras came into the match in first place, tied on points with the American team, but ahead on the tiebreaker criteria. A draw between the two teams would guarantee qualification for both, with the Brazilians in first. And that's exactly what happened: in an open game, the teams tied 2-2.
The result confirmed the Brazilian duel between Palmeiras and Botafogo in the round of 16, on Saturday, at 1 pm (Brasília time), in Philadelphia. Inter Miami, with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, advanced and will now face PSG, on Sunday, at 1 pm, in Atlanta. In the other game in the group, Porto and Al-Ahly drew 4-4 and were eliminated, with two points each.
The clashes began to take shape on Monday afternoon, with the round being opened simultaneously with the two Group B duels. PSG confirmed their favoritism, beating Seattle Sounders 2-0 at Lumen Field in Seattle and securing their place in first place.
Botafogo, who had won their two previous games against the Americans and the French, were defeated by Atlético de Madrid 1-0, losing first place in the group. Even so, the Rio de Janeiro team, coached by Portuguese coach Renato Paiva , advanced to the round of 16 in second place and left the Spanish team out of the next phase on goal difference, as the three teams finished tied with six points.
