Futsal: União 1919 fights today for unprecedented district title

União 1919 will host Sarzedo tonight, starting at 8:00 pm, in the final round of the AF Coimbra Honor Division. At stake is victory in the senior district futsal championship - a title that the club has never won, although it has been promoted to the Nationals twice, one season because it was ahead in a competition that did not finish, due to the pandemic, and another because the champion, Chelo, was not in a position to be promoted at the time. To DIÁRIO AS BEIRAS, coach André Santos, “Picasso”, states that, for today’s game, “after so much struggle and sweat, there is only one way: to win”.

With his entire squad available, “and very motivated”, the coach does not hide his optimism: “It was a bet from the first minute and we are one game away from achieving it”.
