Gauchos win titles on the first day of the ITF BT100 Porto Alegre - Drop Shot 15 Years

Two pairs from Rio Grande do Sul won, on Tuesday night, the first titles in an international Beach Tennis tournament in Porto Alegre (RS) in celebration of Drop Shot's 15th anniversary.
In the BT 10 event, Alex Junges and Matheus Antonello won the trophy, defeating Lucas Constant and Gabriel Nery 6-3 6-1 in the final. This is the third victory for 17-year-old Antonello and the fifth for 25-year-old Junges.
In the women's competition, Clara Gertz, 16, and Luiza Meine, 15, lifted the trophy, defeating Isadora Angeli and Bianca Matzenbacher 6-3 6-4 in the final. This is the young duo's third win playing together. Wednesday is another day of competition at B Club with the second BT 10 tournament. The ITF BT100 Porto Alegre - Drop Shot 15 Years begins on Thursday with qualifying, and the main draw begins on Friday and runs through Sunday.
The main event has a total prize pool of US$ 10,000 (R$ 54,000), giving 100 ranking points and is broadcast on the PlayBT channel on YouTube. The event will be attended by the world's top 20, Fabrício Neis from Rio Grande do Sul, also local athlete Natã Porte, former top 10 and Drop Shot athlete, Ralff Abreu. In the women's top 10, Russian Elizaveta Kudinova, 12th and 20th in the world, Italians Greta Giusti and Giulia Trippa will also be present.
The week will have a total of around 500 athletes competing, with 400 competing in amateur tournaments in categories A, B, C and D in partnership with the Brazilian Tennis Confederation.
