Anyone who was willing to criticize Roger Machado's work will have to ask for a raise, as his job has become more complicated. After the victory over Bahia, added to the leadership and qualification for the knockout stages of the Libertadores, the climate of doubts about Inter's progress in the season has turned into motivation to overcome the bad moment in the Brazilian Championship. Colorado is currently in 14th place in the Brasileirão with eleven points - two points separate it from the relegation zone. To reverse the current scenario, Alvirrubro needs three points over Fluminense, on Sunday (1st), at 8:30 pm, at Beira-Rio, for the 11th round of the tournament.

“The players are looking at the present. We are making a macro plan to arrive at the games in the best possible shape. It is time to look at the Brasileirão and recover in the championship ”, reinforced Roger.
The tendency for the match against Renato Portaluppi's team is for the Gauchos to go full force. However, injuries prevent the Colorado coach from fielding his best players. The starters Bernabei, Carbonero and Victor Gabriel are in the hands of the medical department and will only return after the Super World Cup - which ends on July 13th. Rochet and Enner Valencia will also only return after the break, while Ricardo Mathias is still in doubt against the Rio de Janeiro team due to muscle discomfort.
When asked about the number of injuries in the squad, the leader of the red-and-white dugout criticized the Brazilian calendar and praised the group's role in the grueling marathon of games over the last two months. “Muscular injuries will happen. It's not about the number of games, but rather the intensity. If we don't take good care of the athletes, the games will be of low quality. The team that plays in three competitions is punished in Brazil. (...) But it was important to get through this moment well,” said Roger.
Even with a significant number of absences, Roger Machado should have no problems in fielding his starting players against the Tricolor carioca. Regarding the game against Bahia, the only change should be Ramon in Bernabei's place.
Thus, the team that should go to the field in search of the victory that would take the team away from an uncomfortable zone in the Brasileirão has Anthoni; Braian Aguirre, Vitão, Juninho and Ramon; Fernando, Bruno Henrique (Thiago Maia) and Alan Patrick; Gustavo Prado, Wesley and Borré.
