International Basketball Tournament returns to Tavira

The 10th “Cidade de Tavira” International Basketball Tournament will take place from 2 to 6 July, bringing together teams from mainland Portugal, the islands and Spain, with games in two pavilions and free entertainment for all ages.

For five days, Tavira welcomes hundreds of athletes, coaches and family members, in an initiative organized by the Tavira Basketball Club with the support of local clubs, associations and entities. Entry is free.

In addition to the competition, the tournament offers nighttime entertainment in the outdoor area of ​​the D. Paio Peres Correia School and moments of conviviality, such as a debate on bullying in the stands, a team parade, open classes, DJ sets and performances by tunas and bands.

The event aims to promote sport, interaction between cultures and the dynamism of the city, and is already a reference in the sport's calendar.
