Lagoa hosts Handball Festival
Lagoa will host, between the 19th and 22nd of June, the Handball Festival 2025, a tournament that brings together 24 regional male and female teams.
The games will take place at the Jacinto Correia Municipal Sports Pavilion, the ESPAMOL Pavilion and the Jacinto Correia School Pavilion, with free entry to the public. The men's and women's teams from AA Algarve, AA Algarve/Beja, AA Aveiro, AA Braga, AA Leiria, AA Lisbon, AA Madeira, AA Porto, AA Santarém, AA Setúbal, AA Viseu/AA Guarda will be present.
The event kicks off with the opening ceremony on the 19th, at 7:00 pm, at Largo do Auditório Carlos do Carmo. The competitions will take place on the 20th and 21st, between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm, and the finals will be held on the morning of the 22nd of June, between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, followed by the closing ceremony at 1:00 pm, at the Jacinto Correia Municipal Pavilion.
The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Lagoa, in partnership with the Algarve Handball Association and the Portuguese Handball Federation.
The Handball Festival 2025 consists of a tournament organized by the Municipality of Lagoa in partnership with the Algarve Handball Association and the Portuguese Handball Federation, bringing together 24 regional, male and female teams in Lagoa in a tournament with game competitions, lots of competition and fair play.
