Leandro Ramos wins in Germany

The Portuguese Leandro Ramos was, today, the winner of the javelin throw competition at the Halle athletics meeting, in Germany, achieving a mark of 81.94 meters, the best Portuguese record of the season. This is the 15th time that the national record holder has surpassed the 80-meter barrier, giving good indications that he will qualify for the Tokyo World Championships, currently occupying 28th place on a qualifying list that qualifies 36.
The 24-year-old thrower, from Bustos and who represents Benfica, beat the Finnish Toni Keranen, with 81.20 meters, and the German Nick Thumm, with 80.62, second and third place respectively.
