Miguel Oliveira in 20th place in the practice sessions for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon

Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Yamaha) was today 20th in the practice sessions for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon, failing to qualify directly for the second qualifying session of the eighth round of the World Motorcycle Speed Championship.
Miguel Oliveira completed his best lap of the circuit located in the Spanish municipality of Alcañiz in 1:48.290 minutes, being more than a second away from the objective of finishing the session among the 10 fastest and not having to attend the first qualifying session on Saturday.
The 30-year-old Portuguese rider was second-to-last in the practice sessions, just ahead of Thai rider Somkiat Chantra (Honda) and a long way behind Spaniard Marc Márquez (Ducati), leader of the premier class championship, who achieved the best time, with 1:46.397 minutes.
Miguel Oliveira needs to finish among the top two in the first qualifying session, to join the 10 drivers who qualified today directly for the second and fight for a good position on the starting grid.
