Preventive detention for suspects of attack on FC Porto fans in Lisbon

The three Sporting fans suspected of attacking the car in which FC Porto supporters were travelling, in Lisbon, on Tuesday, were remanded in custody, after the first judicial interrogation, revealed today the Lisbon District Court.
According to information sent to the Lusa agency by the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the District of Lisbon revealed that, “following the first judicial interrogation, carried out in the process related to the attack on the vehicle in which FC Porto fans were travelling, coercive measures were applied to three defendants”.
Thus, “the three were subject to preventive detention, with the possibility of replacement by house arrest, if the required legal requirements are met”, and as the process is under judicial secrecy, it is not possible to disclose further information at this time.
On Tuesday, four FC Porto fans were injured, two of them seriously, after a group of 10 to 20 Sporting fans threw an incendiary device into the vehicle they were travelling in, following the fifth game of the Nacional roller hockey semi-finals, which determined the Dragons' qualification for the final.
The three Sporting fans were arrested on the same day, near the João Rocha Pavilion, in Lisbon, after another of the club's games, for the futsal championship.
The two clubs and the Portuguese Skating Federation condemned the incident.
