Zelenodolsk resident sentenced to 4.5 years for arson of military registration and enlistment office and discrediting the Russian Armed Forces

The Zelenodolsk City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan sentenced a 63-year-old local resident named Bogdanov to 4.5 years in prison for setting fire to a military registration and enlistment office and for posts on Odnoklassniki that discredited servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces participating in the special military operation (SVO). This was reported to Lenta.ru by the republican department of the FSB of Russia .
The man was found guilty under Articles 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional destruction of property”) and 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces”).
Bogdanov was arrested for involvement in the arson of a military registration and enlistment office. During the investigation of the criminal case, it was revealed that he had published materials discrediting Russian military personnel on the Odnoklassniki social network.
Earlier, it was reported that a 20-year-old nationalist was detained in the Kurgan region after his extremist posts on the Internet.
