MOSCOW, August 23 - RIA Novosti. Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Valery Fadeyev expressed condolences over the death of journalist, member of the Human Rights Council and executive director of the international media group "Russia Today" Kirill Vyshinsky, noting that he was an outstanding journalist, human rights activist and a very courageous person. On Saturday in Moscow, after a serious and prolonged illness, journalist Kirill Vyshinsky, executive director of the international media group "Russia Today", died at the age of 59. "Kirill Valerievich was an outstanding journalist, human rights activist and a very courageous man. Long months in a Ukrainian prison, where he ended up for his honest work as a journalist, did not break him, he did not make any deals with the Kyiv regime and waited until he returned home as a result of the exchange in 2019... We deeply mourn this loss and express our deep condolences to his family, friends and colleagues," said Fadeyev, whose words were conveyed on the HRC Telegram channel. He emphasized that Vyshinsky headed the commission on international cooperation at the HRC, and actively helped Russians abroad throughout his years of work "from protecting them from Russophobia to repatriation to Russia."
