Russia intends to create a platform with government services that will be integrated into the new MAX messenger. The corresponding service will be launched this year and, according to the head of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev, it is no worse than foreign analogues. Leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin in an interview with Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda considered this initiative an attempt to "revive" the domestic product.
Murtazin considers the attempt to "revive" the messenger by transferring government services, banks, etc. to it understandable. At the same time, the expert noted that even if administrative resources are used, it will still not be possible to make the messenger popular, because it is impossible to force people to use it.
"Today we are not just trying to jump on the last train. This train has already arrived at the final station, and we are only trying to do something," the analyst says.
He pointed out that the messenger is already a thing of the past, it is a market that has gone, and creating something for it outside of corporate and government solutions simply does not make sense. Murtazin added that the market is already divided, and it will not be possible to “transplant” people from Telegram to alternatives even with the help of radical measures, because there is already a communication environment there.
