Indonesia hosts event in memory of WWII and SVO heroes

An international memorial event in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet Military District, and the country's independence was held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, RIA Novosti reports.
The participants of the event launched 100 paper balloons with candles. Each lantern had the name of the hero written on it.
Those present remembered the Heroes of Russia Olga Kachura, call sign "Korsa", and Nurmagomed Gadzimagomedov. Also, the memory of war correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev and many others.
The evening was timed to coincide with the month of the Battle of Kursk, a legendary battle that became a symbol of the unbending will of the Soviet people.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials of Indonesia, diplomats from friendly countries, and opinion leaders. This speaks of the common history of the past and present.
