The defendant was also fined 1 million rubles and deprived of the right to engage in activities related to representing the interests of the customer in the area of procurement of goods, works, and services to meet state and municipal needs for two years.

The investigation and the court established that in October 2024, the official received a large bribe from a representative of an unnamed company for facilitating the conclusion of a state contract for the major repairs of one of the buildings of the republican psychiatric hospital and "further patronage and connivance in its implementation." It is assumed that the bribe amounted to 200 thousand rubles.

In November of the same year, the UFAS for Chuvashia fined the contractor 30 thousand rubles for violating the contract procedure for the repair of a mental hospital. The suspect allegedly offered the company representative to transfer funds to pay the fine, but stole them.

In December 2024, the defendant was remanded in custody by a court decision. In addition, law enforcement officers conducted searches at his place of residence and work and seized items and documents that could have an evidentiary basis.

In early March 2025, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chuvash Republic opened a criminal case on two counts of negligence (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against unnamed employees of the regional Ministry of Health. The first concerns the untimely purchase of insulin for preferential categories of citizens, the second concerns insufficient control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, which led to the spread of an infectious disease in a hospital. The Ministry of Health then responded to the incident, noting that the situation with preferential drug provision for patients with diabetes in Chuvashia had stabilized.
