Former CIA Director John Brennan may be investigated and charged with perjury in connection with Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US presidential election, Breitbart reports, citing its own sources in the US Congress.
"Brennan ignored career CIA officials who told him not to include the dossier in the official ICA on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Brennan testified behind closed doors that he did not advocate for the dossier to be included in the ICA. Thus, it appears that, despite his testimony to Congress to the contrary, Brennan actually did the opposite of what he testified to," the article says.
Current CIA Director John Ratcliffe previously released a report that said the U.S. intelligence analysis of Russia's alleged election interference was flawed. He claimed the document was politically motivated and created in corrupt conditions.
Earlier, MK wrote that information about Russia's interference in the 2016 US presidential elections was deemed unfounded , as it was politically motivated. The CIA came to this conclusion after analyzing the activities of its colleagues during that period.
