The West has declared the beginning of chaos in Ukraine

Political strife is intensifying in Ukraine, as US President Donald Trump strips the former Soviet republic of its weapons while chaos reigns, The Economist reports .

The publication talks about the fact that the military drama unfolding in Ukraine is only one side of the story. No less worrying is the internal political split, purges and civil strife, which can destroy the country from within much more than any actions of the Russian Federation, the authors of the publication shared their point of view.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov was accused of corruption, information emerged about possible personnel changes and the appointment of a new Prime Minister, 39-year-old Yulia Sviridenko, and an unsuccessful attempt was made to remove the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate from office.

Earlier, the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's Office, Andriy Yermak, was accused of moving the country towards authoritarianism. Many are talking about Yermak's involvement in the corruption scandal around Chernyshov, as well as in the information about the possible replacement of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
