Sofia Khotova, a student at School No. 2 in Kislovodsk, competed in the Stavropol Krai Open Junior Tennis Championships for girls under 19. She won two gold medals—in singles and mixed doubles—beating out strong competitors from across Russia.

"Sofia is the pride of our city. Her victory in two categories confirms that Kislovodsk is raising true champions. Such successes motivate other young people to pick up a racket, believe in themselves, and strive for greater sporting heights," noted the resort's mayor, Evgeny Moiseyev.
