Athletes from Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Win Silver at Russian Shooting Championship


Yamal residents Alina Khizbullina and Vladimir Maslennikov won silver at the Russian Shooting Championship, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.
"On July 2, the athletes competed in the paired exercise "shooting from three positions" from a m/c rifle at a distance of 50 meters and in a tough fight for victory took second place. Congratulations on an excellent performance," the statement said.
The athletes represent the Tatyana Akhatova Olympic Reserve Sports School and the Olimp Sports Shooting Club. Coaches are Alexey Yurkov and Natalia Nikulshina.
The Russian Championship and Cup stage in target shooting are taking place from June 28 to July 8 at the Lisya Nora complex near Moscow, where 368 athletes from 40 regions of the country have gathered.
