Mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions were held from May 30 to June 1 in Samara. More than 150 athletes from 47 regions of the country took part in the Russian championship among men and women.

Tatyana Devyatova represented the Altai Region in the 70.3 kg weight category. The student, a representative of the Barnaul Center of Mixed Martial Arts Top Team Siberia, defeated rivals from the Sverdlovsk Region and Moscow on her way to victory.

It should be noted that these competitions were a qualifying round for participation in the upcoming world championship, Altai Sport clarifies . Now the Barnaul athlete will have to compete with representatives of other countries.

We will also add that this championship belt became the fifth significant trophy in Tatyana Devyatova's collection of awards. Previously, the girl won the world championship in universal combat twice, won the Russian championship in MMA, and also became the world champion in this sport based on the results of 2024.
