Chelyabinsk will not host the RDS Open stage

The sixth stage of the Russian Drift Series Open Championship (RDS Open), which was originally planned to be held in Chelyabinsk, will be held in Krasnoyarsk. The reason for the change of location was the unfinished modernization project of the Chelyabinsk motorsport complex "Trassa 74".
According to the event organizers, the Trassa 74 autodrome was supposed to host the all-Russian stage of the RDS Open after a large-scale reconstruction. However, as reported by the head of the RDS Open series, Maria Amerikova, the infrastructure of the facility still does not meet the requirements for holding federal-level competitions. "Despite the planned work, the complex is not ready to host the championship. We are forced to postpone the stage, but we hope to return to Chelyabinsk when the track is modernized. We are confident that the updated site will become a worthy arena for major motorsport events," the expert commented.
