Ivanovo's Energiya is preparing for a match against the Russian champion.

On October 1, in the second round of the FONBET Women's Basketball Premier League, Ivanovo's Energiya will host Yekaterinburg's UMMC, the multiple and current national champion and one of Russia's most celebrated teams.

Energia's opponent has a star-studded roster, which includes the best European basketball players and leading players from national teams: Anastasia Shilova and Josselina Maiga (Russia), Megan Walker (USA), Jovana Nogic (Serbia), Eva Lisec (Slovenia), Maria Popova and Alexandria Bentley (Belarus).

Legendary Russian basketball player, former Russian national team point guard, and International Master of Sports Elena Beglova will be attending the match as a guest of honor. She previously played successfully for both Energia and UMMC. During the break, she will host the awards ceremony for the winners and runners-up of the recently concluded Ivanovo Region 3x3 Basketball Championship, and after the match, she will choose the best players on both teams.

The Energia vs. UMMC match will take place on October 1 at 6:30 PM at the Palace of Game Sports, located at 116 Sheremetevsky Prospekt in Ivanovo.
