Volgograd to host Russian PC/WPSO Powerlifting Championship

The venue for the competition, in which about 150 athletes will take part, will be MBU DO SS No. 25 "Temp" in Krasnoarmeysky District.

As reported by the Volgograd mayor's office, the All-Russian powerlifting competition will be held at school No. 25.

Athletes from the Volgograd, Astrakhan, Saratov and Rostov regions, as well as from the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Dagestan will take part in the competition. They will compete in such disciplines as bench press and standing press, deadlift, squats, biceps curl and others.

The grand opening of the Russian WPC/WPSO Powerlifting Championship, organized by the Russian Powerlifting Organization WPC and MBU DO SS No. 25 Temp, will take place on July 5 at 10:00.

It is worth noting that holding large-scale sporting events at the Temp stadium became possible due to its reconstruction. In particular, a football field with stands, a sports and recreation center, an obstacle course, sectors for long and high jumps, and a climbing wall appeared here.
