A terrible accident in Manisa! An excavation truck crashed into a tractor from behind; 1 dead, 1 injured

The accident occurred at around 22:30 on the Kula-Eşme road near the Laneli Neighborhood. The excavation truck with the registration number 45 AUD 277, driven by Halil İbrahim K. (36), who was travelling from Eşme to Kula, crashed into the back of the tractor driven by Hayati Akkaş (56), who was travelling in the same direction and whose registration number could not be determined.

The impact of the collision sent the tractor driver onto the road. Gendarmerie and paramedics were dispatched to the scene after witnesses alerted them. Paramedics determined that Raziye K., a passenger in the excavation truck, was injured, and Hayati Akkaş, the tractor driver who was thrown onto the road, died. Raziye K. was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while the excavation truck driver, Halil İbrahim K., was detained by the gendarmerie.

The Kula-Eşme highway, which was closed to traffic due to the accident, has reopened following investigation and cleanup at the scene. Raziye K., who was taken to hospital, is reported to be in good condition.
