Rüçhan Çamay passed away
Tragic news has arrived about the famous singer and actor Rüçhan Çamay, who has passed away at the age of 94.

Rüçhan Çamay's daughter, Melike Demirağ, announced the sad news in a statement, saying, "My mother, my life partner, my companion. It will be difficult without you."

Rüçhan Çamay was born in Istanbul on May 30, 1931. His mother was Mebrure Hanım (Hasekin), and his father was Asım Bey (Çamay). His parents separated when he was only one year old.
After living in Istanbul for a time as a child, she was raised in Ankara by her mother, who worked as one of Türkiye's first female announcers on Ankara Radio. Her musical talent was noticed by music teacher Celal İnce.

She studied piano and vocals at the Ankara University State Conservatory. While a 12-year-old conservatory student, she joined the Ankara Radio Children's Club choir, conducted by Nedim Otyam. Her interest in jazz music began during her student years, and she sang jazz on Ankara Radio.

Rüçhan Çamay had acted in the movies "Aşk ve Hate", "We Married With Force", "You Can't Wash My Home" and "Istanbul Nights".
