Istanbulites were using it for free! Now it's paid

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has started to charge fees for some sports facilities and areas that were previously free of charge.
Within the scope of the 2025 revised fee schedule determined by the IMM Sports Facilities Branch Directorate, new prices have started to be applied in various sports areas.
THEY ARE NOW PAIDWith the new regulation, a one-time use fee of 200 liras and a 12-entry prepaid use fee of 300 liras will be charged for the Maltepe Athletics Track and Kenan Onuk Athletics Track.
A monthly fee of 100 lira was set for the velodrome track, which was previously used free of charge by bicycle enthusiasts. According to the new tariff, which will also affect tennis enthusiasts, the free tennis practice wall will now be charged. The use of the unlit wall was announced as 200 lira, and the one with lighting was announced as 250 lira.
The new pricing decision is valid as of today. Regarding the change in question, IMM officials stated that the regulation is aimed at sustainability and covering the maintenance and repair costs of the facilities.
