I would like to thank all segments of society, our taxpayers, our professionals and all our colleagues who contribute to the development of our country by fulfilling their tax obligations fully and on time and who support the fight against informality for their contributions and efforts."
The statement made by the Ministry also included information on the events to be held within the scope of Tax Week.
During Tax Week events, celebrated every year in the last week of February, various activities are held to remind tax liabilities and raise awareness about tax issues.
The 36th Tax Week, which started to be celebrated this year between February 24 and March 2, will feature events with the themes of "Tax is trust" and "We color the future with taxes" to develop and adopt tax awareness in children, and the events will be celebrated with the participation of non-governmental organizations, citizens and students at the Ministry's central organization and provincial treasury offices.
Adding a new one to its efforts to create tax awareness among children and young generations with tax week events, the Revenue Administration (GİB) is sharing posts targeting children and young people on its website titled "Tax Awareness".
Studies are being carried out across the country to remind tax liabilities and raise awareness on tax issues before the declaration period.
Tax Week events aim to create tax awareness among children and young generations, to make it accepted by all segments of society, to ensure voluntary tax compliance among taxpayers and to create awareness about the fight against the informal economy. During the said week, taxpayers with high tax compliance will be visited by the treasury departments at their workplaces and their opinions and suggestions will be taken.
As part of the events, various events such as panels and conferences will be held at universities, and information will be provided about GIB's career opportunities.
In addition, information will continue to be provided to newly hired taxpayers on "Rights and duties", "Communication channels" and "e-Applications".
