Local authorities have been asked to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the death, and the Senegalese diplomatic mission has also stated that it is taking action.
It was learned that two officials from the Senegalese Embassy will be dispatched to the region today to assist Ghanaian authorities with administrative and legal procedures and, once the necessary permits are obtained, to consult with the family to ensure the repatriation of the remains to Senegal. The ministry stated in a statement that this case is being closely monitored and prioritized.
