Ahmet Ürkmezgil was appointed as the chairman of the Beşiktaş Board of Directors.

The Beşiktaş Council Board of Directors election was held at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center. Five candidates, Affan Keçeci, Ahmet Akpınar, Ahmet Ürkmezgil, Engin Baltacı, and Emir Tamer, ran in the election. Of the 1,832 members who participated, 1,828 votes were considered valid. Ahmet Ürkmezgil received 683 of these votes, becoming the new Council Board President. Affan Keçeci received 486 votes, Engin Baltacı 357, Erim Tamer 155, and Ahmet Akpınar 147.

Ahmet Ürkmezgil, stating that they had a wonderful congress, said, "I thank everyone who contributed. I also congratulate my colleagues who are candidates. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted for us, and everyone who didn't. Beşiktaş will ultimately win this election. We will do our part to bring Beşiktaş together. I wholeheartedly believe that when we work together, we will be a successful community like the old days."
