"We are moving towards the goal of a fully independent Türkiye in energy."

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said, "As a country, we are progressing toward the goal of a fully independent Turkey in energy. We are working diligently to meet the rapidly increasing energy demand in line with our '2053 net zero emissions' vision. We will increase our installed wind and solar power capacity from 37,000 megawatts to 120,000 megawatts by 2035. We also aim to increase our electrolyzer capacity for hydrogen production to 5,000 megawatts and our storage capacity to 34,000 megawatts by 2035."
"As a country, we are progressing toward the goal of a fully independent Turkey in energy. We are working diligently to meet the rapidly increasing energy demand in line with our '2053 net zero emissions' vision. In this context, energy efficiency, renewable energy, the use of domestic resources, and new technologies such as nuclear and hydrogen constitute our key priorities. We aim to maximize our contribution to the development of our country by utilizing our energy and mineral resources in an efficient, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and domestically oriented manner," he said.
Minister Albayrak stated that they aim to increase electrolyzer capacity for hydrogen production to 5,000 megawatts and storage capacity to 34,000 megawatts by 2035. He said, "We have an ideal of a Turkey that prioritizes people and the environment, has transformed energy and mining, is a net exporter, and is competent in resources and technology. This year, we published our Turkey Critical and Strategic Mines Report. We are also working on the Carbon Dioxide Capture and Evaluation Technologies Roadmap and Implementation Plan for Turkey, the Turkey Solar Energy Technologies Roadmap, the Turkey Offshore Wind Roadmap, and the Hydrogen Action Plan. We will increase our installed wind and solar power capacity, which is 37,000 megawatts, to 120,000 megawatts by 2035. We also aim to increase electrolyzer capacity for hydrogen production to 5,000 megawatts and our storage capacity to 34,000 megawatts by 2035."
"23,400,000 saplings were planted in an area of 12,747 hectares."Minister Albayrak, stating that they are conducting the Project for the Identification of Rehabilitated Mine Sites and Mining Social Responsibility Activities across Turkey, said, "Recycled materials are effectively used in infrastructure projects such as dams, reservoirs, and roads. In 2024 alone, 19.6 million tons of waste was utilized, generating approximately 80 million lira in economic benefits. We see rehabilitation works as one of the most important elements of sustainable mining. For over two years, we have been conducting the Project for the Identification of Rehabilitated Mine Sites and Mining Social Responsibility Activities across Turkey. Within the scope of the project, rehabilitation processes have been completed in 182 mine sites in 53 provinces to date. Thus, 23.4 million saplings have been planted in an area of 12,747 hectares." Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, and Zero Waste Foundation President Samed Ağırbaş attended the program.
