Breaking news: President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also made a statement regarding the live broadcast of Ekrem İmamoğlu 's hearing on TRT.

Following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's statement, President Erdoğan said, "In my opinion, this is a very good appreciation, it is a blessing."

WHAT DID MHP LEADER BAHÇELİ SAY?

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had supported the opposition's demand that the trial be broadcast live on TRT on July 8.

Bahçeli had said, "The opposition had requested that the hearings be broadcast live. We hope and pray that this expectation will be evaluated in a reasonable and legitimate manner, and that the white sheep will be separated from the black sheep in the presence of conscience."

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç also commented on the requests for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality case to be broadcast live on TRT, saying, "If there is a consensus and the legislation changes, it is at the discretion of the Turkish Grand National Assembly."
