İnan Güney: Every bite stuck in my throat

Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney , who is currently incarcerated in Silivri Prison , commented on the famine in Gaza , saying, "Every bite I eat in Silivri leaves me with a lump in my throat." Güney made the following statement on his social media account:

"I'm in my cell. On one side, Palestinian children struggling with hunger and being massacred in Gaza, a place where there are children but no childhood... On the other side, tons of food scattered on the ground in Europe under the guise of the 'tomato war'... Every bite I eat in Silivri gets stuck in my throat. I curse this silence, this indifference, this injustice!"
