CHP Chairman Özgür Özel issued a congratulatory message for August 30 Victory Day.

Özel, who celebrated with a video message of approximately one minute, said, "We are following the path of all our heroes, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who are a light on our path and a hope for our homeland; we remember them all with respect and gratitude."

Özel's message and post are as follows:

"August 30th is the brightest symbol of our struggle for independence; it is the name of hope, freedom, and courage. We continue on the path of all our heroes, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who have been a light on our path and a hope for our homeland; we commemorate them all with respect and gratitude. To raise our Republic to the level of contemporary civilizations, the only principle we must not forget is, 'Victory belongs to those who can say, 'Victory is mine.'" Happy August 30th Victory Day!
