The 9th Book Fair, which was held in Sultanbeyli, has ended.

Mayor Ali Tombaş, in his statement at the fair's closing, stated that the event was one of Istanbul's most prominent book fairs. Tombaş said, "Our authors met with readers, and we had the opportunity to hear book recommendations from 75 of our authors. Children and young people, in particular, showed great interest in the fair. Our goal is to provide our youth with easier access to books and to support our cultural activities."

Mayor Tombaş thanked everyone who contributed to the fair, saying, "I would like to thank our teachers, school principals, neighborhood representatives (mukhtars), council members, and the valued executives of our civil society organizations during this process. We had a wonderful time at this fair, which has just concluded its 9th year. Hopefully, we'll meet again with the same enthusiasm at the 10th."

Mayor Tombaş also drew attention to the importance of cultural events for young people.

Talks, book signings and literary meetings were held throughout the fair.
