Band throttling for social media apps has been removed

Since yesterday evening, access problems have been experienced in Türkiye on popular social media applications such as Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube.
Although no official statement has been made by authorized sources, it is known that some marginal groups in Istanbul, taking advantage of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's call to take to the streets, organized via social media and clashed with the police.
The groups that confronted the police resisted the police in an attempt to overcome the barricades, and the police intervened with tear gas.
That being the case, there was a strong possibility that the restrictions on social media were taken to prevent such organizations.
The CHP administration has decided to close the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters building in Sarıyer, which Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters by the court, entered with police escort. The new address is the CHP Bahçelievler District Headquarters.
After tensions in the region decreased, the band constriction was gradually lifted.
Citizens can log in to their social media accounts without using any applications.
