Confession from commissioner who denied entry to the old provincial building: I gave the order

With the appointment of a trustee to the CHP Provincial Administration, tensions in front of the former Istanbul Provincial Directorate building continue.
Yesterday, no CHP members were allowed into the building designated as the office of CHP leader Özgür Özel. Members of parliament reacted to police officers who refused entry in front of the building.
CHP Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal also shared a conversation he had with a police commissioner on social media. When Tanal asked about the court order denying entry, a commissioner said, "I gave it to them." Tanal reacted to this by saying, "No authority, no official, no governor, or police chief can impose bans or obstructions on political party buildings without a court order. This violates the Constitution, the Political Parties Law, and the very essence of democracy. A decision made with the pretext of 'I gave it to them' is the substitution of a personal order for the law. This is, in the truest sense, the practice of a police state."
Tanal's post is as follows:
"When we asked why we were banned from entering our Chairman's office in Istanbul, "by which court decision?", the mentality that replied "I gave it, I gave it" is clear evidence that the state is governed not by law but by arbitrary orders.
We hereby declare clearly:
No authority, no official, no governor, or police chief can impose bans or obstructions on political party buildings without a court order. This violates the Constitution, the Political Parties Law, and the very essence of democracy. A decision made with the claim of "I made it" is the substitution of a personal command for the law. This is the very practice of a police state.
The Republican People's Party has been the guarantor of law, freedom, and the will of the people for 102 years. To those who disregard the law by claiming, "I gave it," we say on behalf of the nation, "We do not accept it."
"These positions are not held by the whims of individuals, but by the will of the people. This will can never be silenced."
When we asked “by which court decision?” why we were banned from entering our Chairman’s office in Istanbul, the mentality that replied “I gave it, I gave it” is clear evidence that the state is governed not by law but by arbitrary orders.
