Shocking claim from WhatsApp's former employee: Thousands of employees access confidential data | Filed a lawsuit against META

According to the New York Times (NYT), WhatsApp's former security chief, Attaullah Baig, filed a lawsuit with some allegations against Meta, which has frequently come to the fore due to cybersecurity concerns.
"THOUSANDS OF EMPLOYEES HAVE ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL DATA"
In his lawsuit filed in the Northern District Court of California, Baig accused the company of failing to take necessary steps to address security and privacy vulnerabilities that endangered billions of WhatsApp users.
Baig stated that thousands of company employees could access sensitive data of WhatsApp users, and that Meta also did not adequately combat cyberattacks targeting more than 100,000 accounts every day.
Baig claimed that he warned the company's officials, including CEO Mark Zuckerberg, about the security vulnerabilities he discovered during his audits, but that he was fired in February as "retaliation" for this attempt.
A Meta spokesperson denied the allegations in the lawsuit, calling them " allegations from a former employee who was fired for poor performance that misrepresent the hard work of our team."
