17-year-old national swimmer Kuzey Tunçelli is also a world champion in the 1500 meters

Competing at the World Junior Swimming Championships, 17-year-old Kuzey Tunçelli won the gold medal in the men's 1500-meter freestyle.

Tunçelli finished first in the men's 1500-meter freestyle final at the competition held in the Romanian town of Otopeni with a time of 14 minutes and 48.81 seconds.

Tunçelli, who came first in the 800-meter race, also became world champion in the 1500-meter freestyle.

The national athlete thus became the world champion twice in two different categories in the same competition.
