Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ukrainian team managed by Arda Turan, faced Ilves Tampere in the UEFA Europa League 1st Qualifying match.

Turkish coach Arda Turan won his first official match as head coach of his new team with a huge 6-0 score.

Shakhtar took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute through Santana, and doubled their lead in the 43rd minute with a header from Elias: 2-0.

Santana scored his second goal in the 48th minute and his team's third: 3-0. Kevin made it 4-0 in the 74th minute, and Pedrinho made it 5-0 in the 88th minute. Shakhtar's Newerton scored in the 89th minute to level the score at 6-0.

The second leg of this round will be played on Thursday, July 17th, and the team that advances from this round will face Beşiktaş.
