Beşiktaş announces departure! Solskjaer's era is over

Beşiktaş closed its European campaign after losing 1-0 to Swiss side Lausanne in the second leg of a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Conference League play-off round. Following this, the Black and Whites announced they had parted ways with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Parting ways with Solskjaer

Beşiktaş manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's contract has been terminated following their elimination by Swiss side Lausanne in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Norwegian manager met with chairman Serdal Adalı at the stadium after the match and parted ways. Solskjaer took charge of the club in January.

Beşiktaş released a statement regarding the matter: "Our contract with Technical Director Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been terminated following the decision taken at the Board of Directors meeting. Our Chairman Serdal Adalı thanked Solskjaer for his services to date in a meeting following the meeting. We respectfully present this for the public's information."

BEŞİKTAŞ SAYS FAREWELL TO EUROPE

Beşiktaş began its European campaign this season by drawing against Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. After losing both matches, they continued their progress to the UEFA Conference League. After defeating St. Patrick's of Ireland in the third qualifying round, Beşiktaş was drawn against Lausanne of Switzerland in the play-off round.

Having drawn 1-1 with their opponent in the first leg away against Lausanne, the Black and Whites said goodbye to Europe by losing the second leg in front of their fans in Istanbul.
