Fenerbahce on the pitch for the Champions League

Fenerbahçe will host Portuguese side Benfica today in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off round. The match, to be played at Estadio de Luz, will kick off at 10:00 PM Turkish time. Slavko Vincic of the Slovenian Football Federation will referee the match. Vincic will be assisted by Tomaz Klančnik and Andaz Kovacic. Slavko Vinci also refereed the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby in the Trendyol Süper Lig last season.

If they win, they will be in the Champions League after 16 seasons.

The yellow-and-navy team, playing their final match before the UEFA Champions League, will secure a place in the league stage of Europe's premier football competition after 16 seasons if they win away in Portugal. Fenerbahçe last qualified for the Champions League group stage in the 2008-2009 season.
