The air temperature in Yüksekova, which has experienced the coldest days of recent years, reached minus 25 degrees. Due to the cold weather that has been felt in the district in the last two days, icicles on the roofs exceeded 2 meters, and the stream passing through the district completely froze.

Zafer Bilmez, one of the citizens who said that the freezing days of recent years were experienced, said, "Although the cemre has fallen, the freezing weather is at its peak in the district. It has been seen that it has reached minus 25 degrees right now. Just think, the stream passing through the district is completely frozen. So we can say that the cemre has not fallen. We are experiencing the worst days of winter right now."
Kemal Duman said , "When we woke up in the morning, it was down to minus 30 degrees. We were saying that the weather would be warm when the Cemre fell, but we were wrong, the Cemre definitely did not fall. The stream is frozen and there are lots of ice hanging on the roofs.
