Car stolen with child in backseat results in multiple charges against Essex County man

A 35-year-old man is accused of kidnapping a child after he allegedly stole a vehicle while the mother was strapping her child into the back seat.

- Theft of a motor vehicle
- Kidnapping
- Two (2) counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
