Who Wants to Be A Millionaire fans slam player for 'faffing about' over 'such an easy question'

Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Fred Sirieix takes on £100 question
Viewers of ITV's Who Wants to Be A Millionaire Celebrity Special slammed one player for 'faffing about' over what they labelled 'such an easy question'.
Host Jeremy Clarkson was back at the helm for a star-studded edition of the popular game show, with celebs vying to win a cool £1 million for their chosen charities. Previous celebrities who have appeared on the recent run of special episodes include the likes of Stephen Fry and Tony Bellew.
Each contestant will put their knowledge to the test in front of the nation as they try to answer the 15 questions to win the million-pound prize helped along the way by four lifelines of 50:50, Phone a Friend, Ask the Audience and Ask the Host
This week, it was the turn of five-time Olympic champion cyclist Dame Laura Kenny and Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy. Dame Laura stepped into the hot seat first and she started very well, speeding through the first set of questions.
She did need to use her first lifeline of ask the audience when asked which football theme West Ham fans were known for singing. The majority of the studio audience were able to correctly let her know that it was Forever Blowing Bubble with more than 80% of the vote. Although somehow 2% chose You'll Never Walk Alone.
However, the athlete really came unstuck when asked the £16,000 question. She was asked: "Which of these 1980s films have sequels called Afterlife and Frozen Empire?" The options were A - Top Gun, B - The Terminator, C - Ghostbusters or D - Blade Runner.
Laura first chose to ask the host with Jeremy admitting that he was not 100% certain either. He knew it was not The Terminator or Top Gun. He said he wasn't sure if Blade Runner had more than one follow up on the big screen.
As Laura decided to go 50/50 and leaving just C and D options and then phone a friend, viewers were quick to react on social media with one posting: "How the heck did neither this Olympian or Jeremy Clarkson know that Afterlife and Frozen Empire are Ghostbusters movies? The latter literally came out last year! Such an easy question it could have been a thousand pound one."
Another one commented: "All these questions have been easy peasy" with one person saying: "Stop faffing about! It's Ghostbusters!!!" A viewer simply stated: "Using the lifelines on these questions is just madness."
While yet another person added: "Was ‘Afterlife’ not a bit of a clue as to what the answer might be?" Others were more concerned about the legitimacy of some aspects surrounding the show. They said: "50/50 is 100% not random. The 'computer' is the producer."
One person quipped: "She should have phoned a friend and he would have said who you going to call and she would have said Ghostbusters." Dame Laura ultimately pocketed £8,000 for their chosen charity The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
