Brennan Story Sums Up Meath's Amazingly Nonchalant Reaction To Donegal Semi-Final Draw

In a championship summer rich with stories, Meath's unexpected rise has been right among the very best of them.
It began in early May, when Dublin's perennial grip on the Leinster championship trophy was finally lost in style on a memorable day in Navan.
Meath became the first team since themselves 15 years ago to beat Dublin in a Leinster game, before the disappointment of defeat to Louth in the decider gave it a bittersweet taste for many supporters.
Everything that has come after has made sure that the county's fans will have to look back fondly on what has been a sensational 2025.
They became the first team in 17 years to beat Dublin and Kerry in the same championship summer with a stunning final round victory in the All-Ireland round-robin, snatching top spot in the group at their opponents' expense and securing an All-Ireland quarter-final place in the process.
Sunday's superb victory over Galway now has them through to the last four, a stage they last reached in 2009.
Meath will go into the semi-finals with no fear, having vanquished three of the pre-season favourites - a fearlessness epitomised by Robbie Brennan's comments on the draw pitting them against Jim McGuinness' Donegal.

Meath pizza story shows they are unfazed by All-Ireland semi-final drawMeath faced the media this week, as they continue one of their best championship summers since last lifting Sam Maguire in 1999.
After conquering Galway on Sunday, Meath were drawn to face Donegal, who may well consider themselves the frontrunners to lift the trophy this summer after the exit of Armagh.
However, Brennan revealed that his squad were too busy enjoying a celebratory pizza to pay much attention to the draw. Speaking to the Irish media this week, Brennan said:
We were all there watching on the big screen in Dunboyne. The lads probably didn't really care at this stage who we got and we were the same.
As it came out, the lads just briefly glanced at it and [then] back to the pizza.
At this stage, no matter who you get now, it's got to be a good side.
We were up in Ballybofey the previous week watching them against Louth. Listen, they're a phenomenal team. The athleticism, particularly in Croke Park, should really suit them.
They're one of those teams where, I’m not saying you absolutely know what they're going to do, but you have a fair idea of what they're going to do - but whether you can stop them or not.
It perfectly sums up the professionalism, determination, and fearlessness that has brought Meath this far in this year's championship.
No doubt Jim McGuinness will be drilling his Donegal players not to take the challenge lightly when the sides meet on July 13th in Croke Park.
