Some Big Stars Of Past And Present Were On Show At Hurling For Cancer

One of the highlights of the Irish sporting calendar took place in Carlow this evening, with some big stars on show for the annual Hurling For Cancer game at Netwatch Cullen Park.
Always a fantastic occasion, this year's game was no different. Featuring some stars from both the GAA world and other codes were on site to watch Jim Bolger's Stars take on Davy Russell's Best.

Some Big Stars Were On Show At Hurling For CancerBefore the game even got underway, Anthony Daly told us that he was worried about one particular player ahead of the evening's action.
The sideline was well marshalled, with All-Ireland winning managers Brian Cody, John Kiely, and Liam Cahill all present.

Cyril Farrell was also on site, taking on the refereeing duties.
He wasn't shy with the cards, with Anthony Daly's prediction about a tough evening for Davy Russell coming to fruition.

Legendary jockey Rachael Blackmore was also among the officials, donning the umpire jacket. She would share umpiring duties with Colm O'Rourke.

As for the players, there was quite the mix of past and current inter-county stars.
Lee Chin, TJ Reid, Eoin Cody, Patrick Horgan, Darragh McCarthy, Robert Downey, and Con O'Callaghan were among the current crop of players to take part.
