You can arrive either by car or caravan , by train , or by the festival bus from Berlin. Those arriving by train should take the train to the Gräfenhainichen or Dessau train stations. From there, a shuttle will take visitors to the festival grounds.
The nearby Gräfenhainichen train station can be reached by lines S2 , S8 and RE3 .
The campsite closes at 10:00 a.m. and the organizer asks all festival guests to leave by then.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the festival grounds; they are permitted on the camping grounds. Glass bottles of any kind are strictly prohibited on both the festival and camping grounds. Only non-alcoholic beverages in tetra packs up to 1.5 liters and collapsible drinking bottles are permitted on the festival grounds.
For showers, there is a shower flat rate , which you get together with the shuttle flat rate . These can be booked at the cashless shop. Those with a Comfort/Premium ticket or a Glamping ticket have already purchased these flat rates with their ticket.
What are the opening hours of the campsite?
- From: Wednesday, July 3rd, at 12:00 noon
- Until: Sunday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m.
Is car camping worth it?
Car camping, or camping next to your car, means less crowding and less lugging. The downside: You're further away from the festival grounds. Those looking for wild festival anarchy might be a bit disappointed. Those who prefer a place to retreat and a more peaceful night's sleep might find car camping a good option.
Are there electricity or water connections at the campsite?
There's no electricity or water for the campervan. For running water, the organizers recommend using the drinking water points and restroom facilities available on site. So, it's definitely a good idea to bring a large water canister.
How do I cool my food or drinks?
Without electricity, it will be difficult to keep food cool for three days. Coolers are the only option, and they are expressly permitted by the organizer. However, since these are likely to require a lot of power and space is limited, it's best to consider what you absolutely need in advance. Alternatively, bring food that doesn't need to be refrigerated, such as canned food.
Is it allowed to barbecue?
Yes, it is. Grilling is permitted on the campsite and in designated areas. However, if extreme heat causes extreme dryness, the fire department may temporarily prohibit grilling.
Can I buy food and drinks on site?
There's a supermarket with regular prices about three to four kilometers from the festival. However, due to the large number of festivalgoers, many items will likely be sold out. There's also a beverage store on site, but with higher prices.
Are my things safe in my tent?
I've read that things do get stolen from tents there. Would a padlock do the trick? Sure, always carry valuables with you, but do you handle clothes and other stuff like that? Just leave everything in the tent and hope for the best?
How clean are the sanitary facilities?
Clean restrooms are available on the campsite, but these cost extra.
Things are different on the festival grounds. There are only portable toilets (with long queues).
Should I bring toilet paper?
Restrooms are usually stocked with toilet paper. However, it's still worth bringing your own toilet paper, or even wet wipes, in case of emergency.
