What do you think of German talk show culture, Carlo Masala?

Born March 27, 1968 in Cologne Profession Political scientist, professor, author Education Studied political science and Romance studies in Cologne and Bonn Status Can you please explain this to us?
Carlo Masala is difficult. On the one hand, it's nice to listen to him because, as a guest on talk shows, he describes the world's political situation with more clarity than almost anyone else. On the other hand, these clear-sighted descriptions also have the potential to instill fear. Trump chaos in the West, Putin's threat in the East, Europe under pressure, Germany's readiness to defend itself in high doubt – the picture Masala paints is bleak. It doesn't help. His book *If Russia Wins* has just been published, in which he imagines what would happen if Putin were to attack Estonia next. It's hardly a cheerful read. But Masala knows his stuff. What characterizes his expertise is not only his gift for clear formulation; he also has an exceptionally wide-ranging academic career behind him, having worked as a researcher in Cologne and Rome and held visiting professorships throughout Europe and the USA. He is currently a professor of international politics at the Bundeswehr University in Munich, where he heads the Metis Institute for Strategy and Foresight, specializes in early crisis detection, and advises the German Federal Ministry of Defense. An impressive path, especially for a man whose father once worked as an Italian "guest worker" in the mining industry in Dortmund.
